Williams’ cooking has been praised in such publications as Vogue, Condé Nast Traveler, Bon Appétit, Travel and Leisure, Gourmet, The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and New York Magazine. Buvette has also been nominated for a James Beard Award. Williams and Sodi were recognized by the prestigious 2019 James Beard Foundation Restaurant and Chef Awards as “Best Chefs: New York City”. Williams is the author of Buvette: The Pleasure of Good Food and co-authored the cookbook Via Carota together with her partner Rita Sodi. The couple went on to open Bar Pisellino, an iconic Italian bar, and The Commerce Inn, an American tavern celebrating Shaker design. The opening of Via Carota in 2014 with her partner Rita Sodi, generated instant excitement and critical praise.
